PEER ADVOCATE ACADEMY
Training the next generation of advocates
"My big why is that I'm not alone in experiencing this stuff and there are ways I can help people."
- Ari, Peer Advocate Academy Participant
Peer Advocate Academy
An immersive and highly engaging four-day training that educates teenagers 13-18 years old on the risk factors, red flags, and root causes of Interpersonal Violence (domestic, sexual, teen dating violence, stalking and bullying) and how to prevent it. Teens gain skills on how to support peers who have experienced an unhealthy, controlling, toxic, or abusive friendship or relationship. After completing the Peer Advocate Academy, participants will be encouraged to apply for a Lead Peer Advocate internship position to uproot abuse on their school campuses by creating a Peer Advocate Crew club and participating in awareness campaigns.
