peer influencer training
For junior military leaders & service members

"One thing I learned that I did not know before was the statistics and
true stories that happened to victims in the military."
- Peer Influencer Training Attendee
Training Background
Sexual assault and domestic violence are devastating to individual soldiers. In addition, these pervasive issues can impact mission readiness and effectiveness of military service members. The BLOOM365 training aims to increase knowledge, tools, and motivation of military personnel to cultivate a culture of consent and respect, where sexual assault and domestic violence are never tolerated.
BLOOM365 is a national 501c3 organization focused on preventing and responding to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating abuse, and gender-based violence among 11-24-year-old students and service members. In 2021, MSG Rebecca Motley JFHW SARC with the Wyoming Army National Guard and Donna Bartos, Founder and CEO of BLOOM365 established the first known Peer Influencer Training specifically designed for 17–24-year-old junior service members and emerging leaders. The training covers the 3 R’s of domestic/sexual violence prevention: Recognize, Respond and Reframe.

Curriculum
The training covers the following core prevention, response, and resiliency training modules:

RESPOND

REFRAME
Reframe peer-to-peer responses from tertiary prevention (after harm occurs) to primary prevention (at the root causes).
