Social Work | Counseling | Criminal Justice | Sociology | Women & Gender Studies | Performing Arts | Public Health Marketing | Education | Public Administration | Business | Non-Profit Management | Communications | Nursing 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently hold a Fingerprint Clearance Card or be willing to obtain one.

  • Passionate about bloom365's mission, vision and work.

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Minimum of a 6-month commitment for Fall and Spring internships

Skill Requirements

Strong communication skills, professionalism, highly dependable, ability to work independently

and as part of a team, previous experience preferred.

EDUCATION & OUTREACH

Training required and provided.

  • Assist bloom365 advocates in delivering our 5-Dose Middle School and 7-Dose High School curriculums in schools and at community-based sites (public speaking and facilitation skills required.)

  • Answer students' anonymous "Elephant in the Room" questions.

  • Provide referrals, safety planning assistance, and resource connections to teen victims and potential teen victims during outreach and education activities.

  • Mentor and collaborate with the bloom365 Peer Advocate Crew to participate in school-based outreach events and activities.

Advocacy & OUTREACH

Previous advocacy experience preferred. 

Training required and provided.  

  • Co-Facilitate peer-guided support groups at Blooming Point and at community based sites.

  • Provide drop-in advocacy services during advocacy days following the 7-Dose program.

  • Provide referrals, safety planning assistance, and resource connections to teen victims and potential teen victims during advocacy and outreach activities.

  • Build and maintain connections with community resources and assist in the development of weekly or bi-weekly advocacy groups on school campuses.

Research & Evaluation

Previous program evaluation experience preferred. Training required and provided. MPH or MSW candidates preferred.

  • Facilitate the delivery of pre and post surveys.

  • Organize/analyze/disseminate all program-related data.

  • Conduct monthly fidelity checks at partner sites.

  • Report out impact results.

FUNDRAISING & EVENT PLANNING

Previous non-profit and fundraising experience preferred.

Training required and provided.

  • Coordinate logistics for AMPLIFY! Digital Media Arts Summer Camp and We the Teens Winter Camp.

  • Research and write grants.

  • Coordinate "Give. Grow. BLOOM. Penny Wars" coin drives with bloom365 Peer Advocate Crew and local businesses.

  • Mobilize salons/spas for the bloom365 GET BLOOMED campaign.

  • Manage donor database.

  • Assist with the coordination of special events (Rock the Purple, High School Golf Challenge, High School Home Run Derby).

  • Help with Friends of bloom365 committee events.
